The International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University organized a socialization session on Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) on January 27th, 2023, at 09:00 AM. The activity was conducted as an effort to provide students with information and understanding regarding the competencies and learning aspects that must be achieved throughout each course. This session became an important part of supporting the quality of education and helping students understand the direction and objectives of the learning process within the International Relations Study Program.

The session featured Ni Wayan Rainy Priadarsini, S.S., M.Hub.Int., as the main speaker and Coordinator of the International Relations Study Program. During her presentation, she explained that Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) represent the standard competencies that students are expected to achieve upon completing their studies in the International Relations Study Program. These outcomes include academic competencies, mastery of international relations theories and concepts, critical thinking skills, communication abilities, teamwork, and the capability to analyze global issues relevant to current international developments.

She also explained that each course contributes to supporting the achievement of the study program’s learning outcomes. Therefore, students are expected to understand the relationship between classroom learning materials and the competencies required in professional and workplace environments. This understanding is expected to encourage students to become more active, disciplined, and responsible throughout their academic journey.

In addition to discussing academic aspects, the session also emphasized the importance of developing soft skills among International Relations students. Public speaking, interpersonal communication, leadership, teamwork, and adaptability to global developments were highlighted as essential skills in shaping graduates who are competitive and prepared to face future professional challenges.

The activity was conducted interactively through discussion and question-and-answer sessions between students and the speaker. Students showed great enthusiasm by actively asking questions regarding the implementation of Graduate Learning Outcomes in each course. Through this socialization session, students are expected to gain a deeper understanding of the learning targets that must be achieved and to better prepare themselves to become qualified, competent, and globally competitive graduates.
