Strengthening Cooperation with UKI, Unud IR Study Program Hosts Guest Lecture
The collaboration between the International Relations (IR) Study Program of Udayana University and the Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) reached a new milestone through a Guest Lecture held on Tuesday (28/11/2023). Centered on the strategic theme "Indonesia's Vegetable Oil Diplomacy," the event featured Leonard Felix Hutabarat, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D. as the keynote speaker.
The speaker is highly distinguished in the field, affiliated with the Foreign Policy Strategy Agency (BSKLN) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and also serves as a Lecturer at the IR Department of UKI.
During the lecture held on the 3rd floor of the FISIP Building, Sudirman Campus, Dr. Leonard highlighted the critical issue of the ban on Indonesian Crude Palm Oil (CPO) exports to the European Union market. The discussion offered a comprehensive analysis, examining the issue from both government policy and international business perspectives.
Students responded with great enthusiasm during the discussion session, posing critical questions regarding Indonesia's standing amidst global regulatory pressures. This activity is expected to broaden students' horizons, encouraging them to be more analytical and critical in identifying contemporary activities and challenges in the realm of international diplomacy.
