Collaboration between HIMAHI UNUD and FKMHII in Go Green 2022
The International Relations Student Association of Udayana University (HIMAHI Udayana), in collaboration with the Indonesian International Relations Student Forum (FKMHII) Region VI, organized the Go Green 2022 program as part of their environmental awareness initiative.
This activity is part of the International Relations Share and Care (IRSC) work program, which focuses on community engagement, particularly in environmental preservation. The event was held at Pantai Jerman, located along the southern coastline of Pantai Kuta.
Pantai Jerman is known as an alternative tourist destination in Bali, offering a beautiful sunset view. However, like many coastal areas, it faces environmental challenges, particularly plastic waste that threatens the marine ecosystem.
Through this initiative, student volunteers participated in a beach clean-up activity, focusing on collecting plastic waste scattered along the shoreline. The program also served as an educational campaign, encouraging visitors and local communities to be more environmentally conscious.
The involvement of students highlights the important role of youth as agents of change in promoting environmental sustainability, especially in tourism areas such as Bali. As beaches are one of Bali’s main tourism icons, maintaining their cleanliness and preservation is essential.
Through Go Green 2022, HIMAHI Udayana and FKMHII Region VI hope that similar initiatives can be carried out sustainably and continue to bring positive impacts for the environment and the wider community in the future.
